Why stay in Saint-Paul?
Saint-Paul blends heritage and relaxation: the lively seafront market, the marine cemetery, the Premiers Français cave, and above all a string of beaches and lagoons (Boucan Canot, l’Hermitage, La Saline). An ideal base to explore the whole West coast.
Saint-Paul is the birthplace of settlement on Réunion and the island’s largest commune. Its territory runs from the highlands down to the sea and takes in much of the western seaside coast: Boucan Canot, Saint-Gilles-les-Bains, L’Hermitage and La Saline all belong to it administratively.
The historic centre is arranged around the bay and its seafront. The open-air market, which sets up along the shore at the end of the week, is one of the liveliest gatherings on the island: local produce, spices, basketry and crafts. Next to it, the marine cemetery holds the graves of the poet Leconte de Lisle and of the corsair La Buse.
Away from the coast, the commune changes character: residential upland neighbourhoods such as Plateau Caillou, the Étang Saint-Paul nature reserve, and then the slopes climbing towards the Hauts de l’Ouest.

Renting out your property in Saint-Paul
Saint-Paul covers very different rental realities depending on the area: a property in Plateau Caillou does not let in the same way as one a short walk from the lagoon. Pricing and the wording of the listing have to reflect that diversity, or you risk disappointing guests or undervaluing the property.
We support owners across the whole commune: preparing the property, photography, listing, managing bookings, welcoming guests and cleaning. The aim is steady occupancy rather than a short peak followed by long quiet spells.
